Ms Eva Mak l Registered Psychologist

Eva graduated from Monash University in Melbourne in 2004 and has since been practicing as a Psychologist. She has experience working in non-profit organizations, schools, and teaching in universities. Her goal is to improve the quality of life of her clients. Eva’s interest lies in the areas of anxiety issues, depression related symptoms, communication problems, dysfunctional coping, Autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, special educational needs, parental stress, and life stage transitions.

When working with mental health issues, Eva’s main approach focuses around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a very effective treatment approach with empirical evidence. When working with children and special educational needs, Eva aims to help parents maximize the potentials of their children and to look at their children with new insights by using a mixture of educational, learning and psychological strategies.

Whilst working in Hong Kong, she was a lecturer and the author of a few books of special educational needs.  During her time in Perth, Eva had been teaching Bachelor and Postgraduate level Psychology. Most of her clients are referred by GPs, Pediatricians or Psychiatrists. Her clients range from 4 to 99 years old and she works with them individually in sessions of 50 minutes each.
